Terms of service

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of slateroom.ai and the SlateRoom app (together, the "service"). By using the service you agree to them. SlateRoom is operated as a joint venture between SOAR Productions and Buildcraft, registered in the United Kingdom.

2. What the service does

SlateRoom reviews videos for an audience you choose and proposes changes, clips, titles, thumbnails and exports for your editor. Paid plans, when available, are described on the pricing page and confirmed again before you pay.

3. Your account

New accounts require a YouTube connection. You are responsible for activity in your account and for keeping access to it secure. Connect only channels you own or are authorized to connect.

4. Your content

• Your content stays yours. You keep all rights to the videos, scripts and channel data you bring. SlateRoom claims no ownership of them.
• Results are yours to use. Reads, clips and exports made from your content are yours to use and share.
• The engine is ours. SlateRoom keeps all rights to the software, prompts, pipeline and methods.

You give SlateRoom permission to process your content only to provide the service to you.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to use.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape or copy the service.
• Present a read's findings to others without the labels that qualify them, for example quoting an estimate as a measured result.

6. Limits of what we claim

SlateRoom is a second opinion, not a guarantee. A read does not promise more views, watch time or revenue. Estimates, simulated audience talk and measured results are labeled separately, and the methodology page lists what we do not claim yet. Decisions about your videos remain yours.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, SlateRoom is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue or opportunity, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Ending the service

You can stop using SlateRoom and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. On a paid plan, canceling stops renewal and access continues through the period already paid.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes

We may update these terms and will show the date at the top. Changes do not apply retroactively unless we both agree.
