Upload your video and choose your audience. SlateRoom shows you the changes worth making, exactly where to make them, and why they matter to your viewers.

YouTube connection required.

Your video. Your viewers. A clear next edit.

A frame from the sample video: the creator beside the rented car.

1. Upload your video.

car-rental.mp4, uploaded. Its timeline: Setup, How it works, Price.

2. Choose your audience.

Your YouTube viewers, from your connected YouTube channel. Review it for the people who already watch your channel. You can also use reference accounts.

3. See what to change for your viewers.

Put “15 bucks an hour” first. Move the price to the opening, before the rental process. Example audience signal: viewers ask what the rental costs.

4. Choose a change. Preview the edit.

Selected: move the price to the opening. The timeline becomes Price, Setup, How it works. See the change before you export.

The audience signal is an example, not a finding about a real creator.

What you get

Know what to change. See what to create.

Know what to change.

Each change names the moment, the edit and the reason for your audience.

Post clips with a point.

Each clip has an angle, a title and a caption written for the people you want to reach.

Keep working in your editor.

Export your selected changes and source timecodes, or send clear notes to your editor. Timeline export is in beta: the files are made, and imports into each editing app are still being tested.

Too Honest with Margot · Episode 52
Asked at 14:41
“So when is his quiet a reason to wait, and when is it a reason to walk?”
Missing
Julian gives his story but does not answer the question.
Add
After 14:41, add a host response that names one sign of ongoing interest, one sign to move on, and a practical next step.
Why
These example listeners want to know when to wait and when to move on. His personal story does not answer that question.

Keep the words that change the meaning.

Risk
Without “for a lot of guys, not all”, the clip sounds like a rule about every man.
Keep
Keep the qualification with the statement in any clip of this line.

Questions

Why do I need to connect YouTube?

It ties your SlateRoom account to your channel. Setup asks for read-only access to YouTube Analytics. SlateRoom cannot publish, edit or delete your videos.

Can I work with an editor?

Yes. Export your selected changes with their source timecodes, or send written notes, or share the review by link. Timeline export (edit lists and XML timelines) is in beta: the files are made, and imports into each editing app are still being tested.

What happens to my original file?

SlateRoom keeps what it needs to show your review: a smaller preview copy, the transcript and still frames. The original upload is released once processing finishes.

What are the limits?

Up to 60 minutes per video. Video or audio files, a pasted script, or a captions file; importing from a YouTube link is not available. SlateRoom does not post to social platforms for you.

Does it guarantee more views?

No. SlateRoom helps you choose improvements using the video and available audience context. Predictions are labeled as predictions, and measured results are shown separately.
